Street Usages

LED lighting on public roads must follow DOT and FMVSS 108 regulations. Most aftermarket LED headlight bulbs are not street-legal, because they don’t meet these federal standards.

However, LED fog lights and other auxiliary lights are usually allowed, depending on state laws.

Even if a bulb fits your vehicle’s socket, it doesn’t guarantee street-legal use. Some LED kits are made for off-road only and should not be used on highways or public streets.

Always check your local regulations before installing LED lights.
